Our History
Powerhouse Steel Works was founded in Amelia Court House, Virginia, by Gaven Corker, who set out to build a fabrication shop centered on careful, dependable work. From the earliest projects, the focus was on doing jobs correctly rather than simply doing them quickly, an approach that shaped the company’s reputation early on. As word spread among local contractors and property owners, the shop gradually took on a wider range of structural and custom metalwork projects. Each new project brought lessons that were folded back into the company’s methods, refining how the team approached measurement, fabrication, and quality control. That steady, incremental growth has defined the company’s path more than any single large milestone.
Over time, Powerhouse Steel Works expanded its capabilities while holding on to the same core values that guided its first projects. The team grew to include additional fabricators, each bringing their own experience while adapting to the shop’s established standards. Today, the company continues to serve clients across the region, applying the same attention to detail that shaped its founding.
